to the official site of Ranlo Fire & Rescue. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for visiting us, and urge you to stop by often. This site was developed with one purpose in mind, to let our citizens know what their fire department has to offer them. Yes I said Their fire department because this department belongs to the citizens, not the members. Most people think that all a fire department does is put out fires, well thats a myth I would like to put to rest, and I'm sure after you have browsed these pages you will see that we have so much more to offer, and amazingly enough it is all done strictly on a volunteer basis. When I say volunteer I mean that no member of this department gets paid for the services that he or she provides, and amazing feat when you consider the line of work we are in. After 9/11 people across the country became aware at just how hazardous this line of work is, so that being said I would like to publicly thank all of our members for all the hard work they put in. Their dedication is a direct reflection of what makes our department as great as it is.
